This course teaches cardiopulmonary resuscitation, a procedure consisting of chest compression combined with artificial ventilation and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

A combined effort to manually preserve brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing to a person in cardiac arrest.
